How to Buy and Equip an Ability

  1. Open the inventory

Open the lobby Inventory from the bag icon.

  2. Open the tab

    Switch to the Abilities tab.

  3. Pick one

    Pick the ability you want.

  4. Pay

    Pay the listed coin price.

  5. Equip it

Equip it from the same tab.

Coin prices are identical in every mode and on every arena, so there is no cheaper route to an ability through a specific map. Press Q in a bout to fire whatever you have equipped.

What a New Account Already Has

Dash is Common, free, and already owned and equipped when you start, so the ability slot costs nothing to learn. It is a 0.3s repositioning burst on a 6s cooldown — the default escape tool, and the ability you will use most until you replace it.

Which Coin Ability to Buy First

Dash costs nothing, so the real decision is which coin ability to save for. The Cat Battles best ability ranking breaks all 11 into tiers and names the cheapest top-tier pick, which is a different question from what each ability does.
