Cat Battles has three arenas, and the Cat Battles maps list is the same in every mode — but the edge behaves differently in each one. The grab that wins in the Boxing Ring can lose in the Elevators, because one arena's edge needs a lift and another's does the work for you.

The Three Cat Battles Maps and Their Edges
Boxing Ring
A standard ring with ropes on all four sides. The ropes are a knockout boundary in their own right: grab an opponent, carry them to a rope, lift them over the edge and let go. With ropes on every side there is no safe floor left, but a cat standing against the ropes when an enemy is in grabbing range has nowhere to back up to.
Elevators
Narrow moving metal cages with gaps in the floor. Every step across a gap is a risk, because a cat that goes through one is out of the round without anyone touching it. Keep open floor behind you during a fight so you can give ground before a gap is underfoot, and save Dash for crossing a gap when you are trapped at the edge. A grab near a gap is worth far more here than in the Boxing Ring, because letting go over the gap does the work for you.
Subway
Trains run on tracks across the arena. A train knocks out any cat standing on the tracks, and a warning sounds before it arrives. That makes it possible to ring someone out without touching them: bait them onto the tracks and wait. The trap is that campers often sit near the tracks, so when the warning sounds you can be grabbed by a waiting opponent while you are watching the rails. Keep watching the other players, not just the tracks.
Which Arena Favours Which Tactic
| Arena | Ring edge | What wins there | The trap |
|---|---|---|---|
Boxing Ring | Ropes on all four sides | Carrying an opponent to a rope and lifting them over | No safe floor, and no room to back up |
Elevators | Gaps in a moving floor | Grabbing near a gap and letting go over it | Being backed onto a gap with no floor to give |
Subway | Trains on tracks | Baiting an opponent onto the rails | Campers grabbing you while the warning sounds |
Turning a Ring Edge Into a Win
Every arena has an edge you can aim at, but the lift is the step that decides most of them: on the Boxing Ring you aim for the ropes, in the Elevators you aim for a gap, and on the Subway you wait for the train. How to win Cat Battles walks through the grab-lift-toss sequence that produces the throw on all three.
